Watch as Mahama arrives for Military Academy commissioning in Air Force uniform

He may never have recruited to become a serviceman or even had a background of military men, but as President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama is Commander-in-Chief of the Ghana Armed Forces.

With that, although not typically the case, he has used his time to always appear in full military uniforms, mostly at military events. And once again, he has stepped out in one of them.

This time, the president showed up at the Ghana Military Academy robbed in the sky blue colours of the Ghana Air Force.

John Mahama is attending the commissioning of new officers of the Ghana Armed Forces.

His look in 2026 for the military commissioning comes on the back of the 2025 Military Academy commissioning, where he spotted a full Ghana Navy uniform; the Navy white.

It is unclear how many officer cadets are graduating from the Military Academy in this event but so far, John Dramani Mahama, Mohammed-Mubarak Muntaka, the Minister of the Interior; and the Deputy Minister of Defence, Ernest Brogya Genfi, are in attendance.
