  The PARABOLIC RISE in the price of gold, silver and other precious metals over the last few months was bound to be followed by a sharp pull back or “CORRECTION” from a purely TECHNICAL POINT OF VIEW. THIS IS WHY EVEN A VERY BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF TECHNICAL ANALYSIS OF STOCKS IS VITAL FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO INVEST PROFITABLY IN ANY STOCK MARKET. STOCK MARKET INVESTING IS ALL ABOUT MANAGING RISK. FUNDAMENTAL ANALYSIS IS ANOTHER WAY OF ANALYSING STOCK MARKETS AND BOTH OF THESE METHODS OF STOCK MARKET OR STOCK ANALYSIS REQUIRE SOME LEVEL OF AWARENESS OF THE PREVAILING GEOPOLITICAL CLIMATE.
  I personally expect a V-shaped recovery possibly as early as within a few weeks. However, expect a further sharp drop in the price of precious metals followed by a huge rebound to new record highs if a destructive war breaks out between Iran on the one hand and USA and Israel on the other hand. Such a serious military conflict would cause the price of crude oil and natural gas to soar to record levels within a few weeks resulting in severe consequences for the global economy.
  The initial fall in the price of precious metals if a severe crisis like major war broke out can be explained by the crash of major stock markets that would follow such an event. The gold price often drops initially during a STOCK MARKET CRASH because of the ensuing sudden liquidity crisis, where investors are forced to sell their most liquid assets—including gold—to cover margin calls and raise cash. Once this panic-driven, short-term selling subsides, gold prices typically rise quickly as investors pivot to it as a safe haven
