  Good move. As this could actually backfire. Historical diasporas have access to capital and can help grow the economy but if all profits are repatriated to the West, we will be none the wiser.

Meanwhile, Chinese, Lebanese and other foreigners are fully extracting wealth, bringing their own workers, and need no residency or citizenship to do it.

  Ghanaians in America, Germany, UK, Canada, Holland etc wait 20yrs for Passports from these countries. If you really want our Passports waiting for 4 or 5 months shouldnt be a problem.
