Ghana is a small country with a little population. Bigger countries with very large population were not going to allow that. Also the Arabs who did not want to be made to join the rest of Africa because they were not Black in color, have Islamic religion going to respect and allow a Black person to be their President. So, Nkrumah was just on a Wild Goose chase and wasted Ghana’d money stupidly. At the time of his death, Ghana has almost become bankrupt and no Developed Western country was prepared to grant any loan to Ghana. The Military Rilers who came after Nkrumah were not good. Rawlings who came to power for 20 years wasted too much money on his stupid PDC and PNDC. killing innocent Military Officers and forcing many rich and Business people to flee from Ghana and die in exile. Rawlings was so nasty and stupid that he confiscated all Ghana Fifty Cedis notes. That wrecked the business in Ghana.. So, before Kotoka and his Military and Police Officers booted Nkrumah out of Office, Ghana was an empty pot and fully indebted.

Afrifa then went ahead to re-name the airport after Kotoka after his elimination, in a clever attempt to both absolve himself of the blood on his hands, promote a positive self-image and more importantly, hang Nkrumah's demise around Kotoka's neck in perpetuity.

Loyola, in spite of his singularly treacherous act of assassinating Nkrumah had no desire to be imposed on any national monument. To be fair to him it was his fellow-saboteurs who named our airport after him after his death when he could not have protested the act.

That is a fact of history and everyone who was involved in the double and triple cross treachery of the period got their just desserts shortly afterwards.

Ghana College, Tamale, Government secondary school, Tamale, Bawku, Yendi, Lawra, Wa, Nalerigu Damongo secondary schools etc.. You are right Kwame Nkrumah was a visionary leader. He did all this in less than 9years.
What a big loss he has been to the nation!!! His compulsory policy of education for all children gave some of us especially from the north the opportunity to go to school. Otherwise my father had no clue about education and didn’t see the need for his children to go to school.

May GOD ALMIGHTY give him wisdom , anchor and victory to be able to do this again with sustained efforts.
Don't forget Acherensua Secondary School (Achisco) which was the only secondary school in Ahafo until 1970 when Busia converted Hwidiem and Mim Training Colleges to secondary schools. And other schools like Yaa Asantewaah Secondary School, Konongo Odumasi Secondary School, and many more. You can easily identify the schools by the similar buildings, which were constructed under the Education Trust Fund. Nkrumah was selfless, and a visioner. Up to the present, nobody has come out to accuse him of corruption or kalabule. He left no mansion or assets. Subsidise petrol to make it cost less, this will drive down prices and encourage alot and alot job creation, more consumer spend for you to make your money back through taxation.

Dr Kwame Nkrumah also did so much for the north as well interms of education:
Ghana College, Tamale, Government secondary school, Tamale, Bawku, Yendi, Lawra, Wa, Nalerigu Damongo secondary schools etc.. You are right Kwame Nkrumah was a visionary leader. He did all this in less than 9years.
What a big loss he has been to the nation!!! His compulsory policy of education for all children gave some of us especially from the north the opportunity to go to school. Otherwise my father had no clue about education and didn’t see the need for his children to go to school.

Don't forget Acherensua Secondary School (Achisco) which was the only secondary school in Ahafo until 1970 when Busia converted Hwidiem and Mim Training Colleges to secondary schools. There was no Silver Stool and Asante was a federation of independent states but the Asantehene came from Kumasi because it was bigger in area, population and wealth. Juaben was the second most powerful and Okomfo Anokye even planted a tree to remind Kumasi never to march on Juaben. They, nevertheless, did twice when Juaben was becoming as wealthy as Kumasi. Juaben eventually settled in New Juaben, Koforidua. Juaben is the constitutional head of the Oyoko clan whose members sit on the Kumasi stool and the other Oyoko states of Mampong, Nsuta, Kokofu,Bekwai and Kumawu.
