  The Buffer stock company was established for this purpose. Buy and stock in times of plenty and release into the market in times of need. We call it food security management which is part of your responsibility. Instead of looking for solutions you are there complaining.
  Businesses can buy and process into other products like beer, malt, poultry/animal feed etc. Government can also buy and donate to struggling Africa countries or even give to our security forces ( police and soldiers, fire services etc in additional to school feeding.

  I’m sickened about our total incompetence. How can we allow the flooding of the market by imported rice.If the local production is increasing and you don’t have storage capacity, it stands to reason that imports should be stopped or curtailed .Those in charge out of greed and selfishness continue to grant import licences for rice importation .A totally sick nation. No planning, just calling themselves HONOURABLE with such incompetence? How can a government be so impotent to restrict rice importation with such glut?

  I think George the CEO should be fired with immediate effects he is complaining instead of fixing the problem which of course he is mandated to ensure food security. If you have over supply it stands to suggest that the government has produced enough for the country and you need to buy the surplus in the market for temporary storage and make profit out of it when the market needs the products. He is just incompetent and should be fired with immediate effect. Your Excellency President John Dramani Mahama Mr. George the CEO of Buffer stock must be fired with immediate effects. Kindly accept my humble submission to Honourable office.
