And what is the point in naming a place that is already Kotoka International Airport, ACCRA to make it Accra International Airport? This renaming of national institutions and monuments just because a certain political party has won power is such a waste, however "logical" it seems, and however much you choose to accuse previous governments of doing the same thing.

The renaming and renaming purely so somebody can flex his political muscles has become something like madness.

The Accra people are on a gradual and consistent agenda to do away with anything foreign to Ga customs and traditions. Ga people are hiding behind ndc party and gov't to pursue their agenda. Years back ndc gov't responded to the call of Ga people and changed the name of Ohene Djan to Accra sports stadium. Why akwaaba inscription embossed at KIA changed to obaake? Ga land belongs to Ga traditional council and people but they don't own state institutions. Some traditions have promoted and still promoting their traditions and culture without changing names. So Ga people as a matter of urgency, plan how to promote their traditions and culture and stop changing names because they are not Gas. A day will come Accra people will turn their attention to arts centre where cultural arts and crafts materials are being sold to stop selling anything that doesn't portray Ga culture. As3m b3ba dabi. Changing names don't promote once culture. Bam.
