I want to be oo. Has Peesident Mahama decided to give Kotoka International Airport Gas as Ga Cultural heritage to own? I just heard on Joy Fm 6pm news broadcast that the Ga Traditional Council is convening a meeting at Dodowa soon to consider the right name and Ga person to whom the Airport should be named after. Please to President Mahama, Kotoka International Airport was built by Dr. Kwame Nkrumah with the Nation's Natural Resources from all Regions. The Airport was built by the tax payers money who were properly employed at the time, were hard working and loved work. The Kotoka International Airport was not built by the Ga Traditional Council and there was or is no way, they could built a National monument like Airport because they have no resources.

If genuinely, attempts are being made to change the name of Airport because of Kotoka being a coup plotter, then the process must not be allowed to be dictated by any Ga Traditional council.The Ga Traditional Council must be nationally aware instead of that mistaken belief they continue to hold and assume that National Monuments are Ga Traditional Cultural Heritage assert.

NDC must finally be made aware that whatever name would be used for the Airport must be nationally uniting( Kwame Nkrumah International Airport is the most Iconic African brand to use for this Airport. Not any Ga Chief name which has nothing Iconic in it.

Let history not be distorted,. To hear this evening on Joy Fm that, Ga Traditional Council is meeting soon to decide on the name for the Airport is most nauseating and regrettable. The Airport is not a Ga assert.

We know the Gas vehemently resisted the naming of the Accra Sports Stadium after the" Iconic Sportman Ohene Djan' because Accra Sports Stadium is located in Accra and Ohene Djan is not a Ga. That is not how a nation should be built. Resources are extracted from other regions including food to build the Capital city because the Capital city has no resources, yet others don't complain about that. Let National monuments be National monuments.

Finally, President Mahama, let the naming represent the interest of Ghana" Kwame Nkrumah International Airport " the reasonable thing to do. The Iconic "Akwaaba" that identifies with Ghanaians for years will not be substituted for their so called "Obaake" a termed they just discovered this morning

Why is this fool above, who goes by the name Kwame, so upset about the fact that the Ga Traditional Council is meeting to also suggest a new name for the airport? If tribal bigots like Nyaho Tamakloe, Afenyo Markin, Franklin Cudjoe and that Azaa so-called law professor are being allowed to freely vent their sentiments on the issue, why should the traditional authorities in Accra be prevented from doing so?

Can any of these shameless tribal bigots publicly oppose the traditional authorities of those parts of the country where they originate from? Did any one of these tribal bigots oppose the change of name from Kumasi Airport to Prempeh International Airport in 2024?

In any civilized country, people who commit treason are hanged or shot to death in a public square. In Ghana, the names of such despicable people are "proudly" imposed on the main point of entry into the country and pseudo-lawyers and pea-brained politicians find reason to justify such unholy discrepancies. Alas!! This is how far education has brought us.

The airport code ACC is shown on the ticket, boarding pass and luggage tag. I think Ghanaians must applaud the decision, it's long, long overdue.
