  What a big loss he has been to the nation!!! His compulsory policy of education for all children gave some of us especially from the north the opportunity to go to school. Otherwise my father had no clue about education and didn’t see the need for his children to go to school.

  Don't forget Acherensua Secondary School (Achisco) which was the only secondary school in Ahafo until 1970 when Busia converted Hwidiem and Mim Training Colleges to secondary schools. And other schools like Yaa Asantewaah Secondary School, Konongo Odumasi Secondary School, and many more. You can easily identify the schools by the similar buildings, which were constructed under the Education Trust Fund. Nkrumah was selfless, and a visioner. Up to the present, nobody has come out to accuse him of corruption or kalabule. He left no mansion or assets.   Many of us talking here were not born when the airport was named to honour Kotoka by our forefathers. Do we think they were fools to honour him, or it was by accident? Maybe, if we had felt the kind of experience our forefathers had, we would have even included the Accra sports stadium, flag staff house and the rest all in honour of kotoka. Monument are named to honour heroes and to tell stories to the future generations as our forefathers had done. So, let us also build more magnificent monuments to honour heroes of our time to tell our story to the posterity, instead of reinventing history in our oversimplified thinking.   Dr Kwame Nkrumah also did so much for the north as well interms of education:
  Ghana College, Tamale, Government secondary school, Tamale, Bawku, Yendi, Lawra, Wa, Nalerigu Damongo secondary schools etc.. You are right Kwame Nkrumah was a visionary leader. He did all this in less than 9years.
  What a big loss he has been to the nation!!! His compulsory policy of education for all children gave some of us especially from the north the opportunity to go to school. Otherwise my father had no clue about education and didn’t see the need for his children to go to school.
  
  May GOD ALMIGHTY give him wisdom , anchor and victory to be able to do this again with sustained efforts.
  Don't forget Acherensua Secondary School (Achisco) which was the only secondary school in Ahafo until 1970 when Busia converted Hwidiem and Mim Training Colleges to secondary schools. And other schools like Yaa Asantewaah Secondary School, Konongo Odumasi Secondary School, and many more. You can easily identify the schools by the similar buildings, which were constructed under the Education Trust Fund. Nkrumah was selfless, and a visioner. Up to the present, nobody has come out to accuse him of corruption or kalabule. He left no mansion or assets. What we pretend we don't know or we just don't care to know is that in the last two years leading to his overthrow,Kwame Nkrumah had turned himself into a despot and life President.Thousands of opposition party elements were thrown into Nsawam without trial and many others were either buried alive,fed to Crocodiles or eaten alive by lions with Nkrumah watching the gory macabre himself.Parents lived in fear of being arrested overnight should their own children,indoctrinated as Young Pioneers report them to the Secret police if they should grumble about how the country was being governed.Where did the sea of people emerge from to celebrate when Nkrumah was overthrown and for over a whole year Kotoka pulled huge crowds where ever he went even as Afrifa was the Head -of -State after the coup instead of Kotoka himself who masterminded the whole thing? Some say Kotoka was a traitor who took 10 million dollars bribe from the CIA to kick out Kwame Nkrumah and till today,his family members wallop in abject poverty?
