We had a similar Ewe doctor Dr. Akligo in our neighbourhood growing up. They attributed all sort of stories to him. Yes, he had his traditional pots and chicken feathers around the house and infront of the gates.

The good thing is that because of the witchcraft stories attributed to him we never had any experience of Armed Robbery on thev street.

All the thieves were scared of using the street to pass infront of his house. You could leave your gate open for a week and evrrything will still be intact on your return. Thsnks to Dr Akligos pot of feathers on the street

This Dr Beckley man had indeed suffered. He was castigated, rejected and crucified in the press and in the court of public opinion those days. When his properties were raised down and the police arrested and sent him to court, the police could not produce a single evidence for the court to nail him. There was not a single parent who came out to testify about missing of any child. No school uniform was presented in court to prove that school children were being abducted and murdered by him. At the end, the court acquitted and discharged him. For God's sake, now he is dead. What again do we need from a dead man?
