My parents farmed the land, planted cocoa trees, harvested the pods, got the beans, dried the cocoa beans. Cocoa beans were sold and with that supported Ghana's development. I had Cocoa Marketing Board to continue my education to the tertiary level.
Dr CEO, COVCOBOD, the current situation is not good enough. My children won't go the farm. "Dad what are we going to get out of cocoa farming", I am asked. I can't blame them. One is out of KNUST this year.. Another, will be completing UG this year.
Dr Abbey, please, your appointment was not to complain about past issues. Please, find the solutions to the problems if you find any. That is the bottom line.
Alternatively, quit your position honourably, and hope that a competent replacement will be found. This is not TV Good morning bla bla bla.
