Well , he had a lot of impact not just in Ghana but across the globe.
Prof Allotey was a role model to an innumerable number of Ghanaians inspiring and directing them on what to do in their professional careers. Many of these people are great scientists ,engineers and doctors contributing immensely to the development of humanity.
He also personally was instrumental in the establishment and functioning of the Ghana atomic energy and I guess a lot of people are not aware of the great role the atomic energy plays in our day to day lives and in our hospitals.

I am told once a white participant at a Conference abroad, who did not know Prof was an African, tried to challenge him saying according to Allotey Formalism it should be this and that but they were shocked when Prof retorted "I am Allotey!"

Nkrumah laid the foundation for Ghanaian identity and laid the economic, administrative, manufacturing and infrastructure foundation for Ghana. The British didn't do anything for Ghana. It was Nkrumah who laid the groundwork and for his hardwork how can you gaunt him.for wanting to stay in power and finish what he started? Before Nkrumah was brought back to Ghana by Paa Grant..All these Ghanaian.aristocracy were dragging their feet to liberate and seek independence for Ghana..therefore, why shouldn't we name our major airport after him?
