  This is serious, it is only in Ghana that government agencies pays no heed to the president, government directives, and allows our own business to collapse with no care. Everything about Ghana is about money and greed, nothing about the welfare of the people apart from lies and useless talk. We need to be serious about ourselves and stop putting profit before everything or we will not grow as a nation of unity.

  I learnt from a colleague in the security services that the shoes are not of very high quality and the 'finishing' is very poor. It can cause injuries because the edges are too sharp.

  I learnt from a colleague in the security services that the shoes are not of very high quality and the 'finishing' is very poor. It can cause injuries because the edges are too sharp.
  Can the respective management officers of the shoe factory facilitate some training for staff and investment in the right equipment which would place the finished product at par with others from foreign markets?
  Many of our security personnel have to stand for long hours or move through difficult terrain; and if they cannot enjoy even the minimal comfort and assurance of maintaining a state of well-being, then they cannot be blamed for choosing to purchase shoes from abroad.

  This is a direct consequence of the Bank of Ghana's policy to uphold a high cedi value. It makes almost all Ghanean production uncompetitive. Countries like Taiwan and South Korea, as poor as Ghana 50 years ago, grew through exports supported by cheap currencies.
  
  As the example of Nigeria shows, nothing is easier than getting a low currency - they simply print trillions of new Nairas. Taiwan and South Korea did not do this. They bought gold and foreign currencies for local money, at times having the world's biggest gold reserves. This held the value of their currencies down without triggering runaway inflation.
