  The problem is concerning. When you consider the so called syndicated loan used for the execution of cocoa roads over the years with cocobod inspecting roads some of which were never in cocoa growing areas. He made mention of 32 billion cedis committed but only 2.2 billion is actually part of the current arrears. Cocobod should only fulfill its core mandate of managing cocoa for which it was set up. Selecting, awarding and funding roads shifted emphasis of cocobod resulted lin owering of Standards, depleting of scarce resources meant to ensure high production, and quality beans, farmers welfare, inability to meet production targets, inability to service high value loans, low morale, lack of research contributions from the cocoa research institutes. Let's support cocoa production and local utilisation in our daily food intake where the ordinary farmer can prepare process his daily beverage ftom cocoa harvested from his farm.
