Was she deeply wounded by someone or group of individuals in positions of authority? Most churches instead of addressing these issues directly become defensive and label the person a "troublemaker" influenced by the devil. These churches try to sweep everything under the carpet. This aggrieved lady obviously took matters into her own hands because she may have felt deceived, exploited or abused in some way. However, if you dig deep into incidents of this nature, most turn out to be a case of deep grievances, sometimes held for years because someone within the organisation who continues to operate in a "business as usual” mode got away with some serious offence. This offence could be financial, sexual or simply some form of emotional abuse resulting in significant loss or harm to the offended person.
THE PROBLEM IS THAT IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO KEEP MATTERS OF THIS KIND HIDDEN FOREVER AS THEY WILL EVENTUALY EXPLODE INTO THE OPEN LEAVING EVERYBODY BOTH THE GUILTY AND INNOCENT BYSTANDERS COVERED FROM HEAD TO TOE IN VERY TOXIC AND VERY SMELLY S***. While we do not now the exact cause of this unfortunate incident this is a timely reminder to all church leaders or all those in positions of authority that failing to address real wrongs and simply dismissing them as “works of the devils” will not make them vanish away.
