Also may I add that this is a war zone so you don't use police but mainly army with a few police men supporting. Also no soldier lives in a war zone especially with their families so allowance must be given to the police to keep their families in safe places.
Also soldiers normally serve a short time in combat zones and then replaced with fresh troops. And finally the igbo king is the type of situation we have here. Settlers cannot claim kingship. If the settlers were white everyone would have been talking about independence for the original inhabitants. Enforcement is what is needed. The latter settlers must be told to go home to their own homelands to be Kings.
And finally if it's a choice between the lifes of the police and the terrorist then it's the terrorist. Airforce is needed to bomb the sht out of trouble makers. If they were going to see sense they would have seen it by now

The Kusasis and Mamprusis should be allowed to engage effectively in armed combat against each other in all the towns including Bawku central which is the focal point.Ghana will have a different storh to tell when it comes to this conflict.The Mamprusis will vow NEVER to fight again.Trust me.

Even if you decided to resource the Police after your appointment you probably would have done enough to change the notorious security situation there. So you mean all these years there are not enough armoured cars for the police to work safely in Bawku ? Your message is a sound of desperation. Pls give the officers the power to be ruthless with those who attack them and the place will calm down.
We have politicians who readily accuse security officers for being too brutal in dealing with the criminals there. That lowers morale and momentum.
Even if you are scared to publicly support or back them with full authority, do it underground and urge them to be ruthless but sincere and Bawku will be safe. There is a lot of interference from officialdom in the security matters in Bawku. Pls stand by the troops and the place will calm be safe.
