There are a few of such conjectures in your above submission which lack confirmation.

The first one is that, even though R. S. Blay was indeed one of those who Paa Grant extended an invitation to, to join the UGCC at its initial stages, R. S. Blay was definitely not a contributor to the means of the return passage from London of Kwame Nkrumah who had also been likewise invited by Paa Grant to join the UGCC. The only other person within the ranks of the UGCC who played a part in the return of Kwame Nkrumah to join the UGCC, was Ako Adjei who recommended his sterling qualities to Paa Grant. These were the circumstances on how Nkrumah returned to Ghana by ship and not by plane.

Again, as far as is known, it was Dr. Kofi Abrefa Busia and a few of his henchmen in the UP - and not JB Danquah, who flew to London to beg the then Queen and officials of the British Foreign office not to grant the already planned independence, to Ghana.

In their desperate wish to make themselves relevant in the trajectory of the independence of Ghana and to thereby dishonestly claim some historical prestige to clean up their dirty image, the NPP and their terrorist predecessors have at every given opportunity, tried, as is typical of them, to steal and accredit to themselves, portions of our glamorous history. We should not - in the same way that we allowed Akuffo Addo to virtually reduce 70 years of great accomplishments of independence to ruin in 8 years, allow them to sneak in through the back door to share the glory that they so vjciously fought against.

All true African nationalists must not lose guard in this respect. History must not be mutilated in the interest of brigands, terrorists and common thieves.

She was targeted because of her relationship to Krobo Edusei, who was a vocal, effective, and influential organizer for Kwame Nkrumah and the CPP in the Ashanti region, which was the stronghold of the opposition NLM.
Political Context: Between 1954 and 1957, the NLM and its supporters engaged in violent protests, murders, and bombings to oppose the CPP government’s centralization efforts.
Targeting of Supporters: NLM supporters specifically targeted the homes and families of prominent CPP members in Kumasi. Krobo Edusei’s sister was killed while preparing food for her children, and his wife was also injured in a bomb blast targeting their home.

The 1966 coup was welcomed by most Ghanaians including our parents who did not attend any school but that doesn't mean they do not have thinking capabilities.

Why were so many attempts made on Nkrumah's life if he was doing the right things in Ghana? Remember that the British left Ghana and not the entire continent of Africa for Nkrumah but all his efforts were to unite a continent then knowing that it was fruitless effort.

And to make it clear for the records the UP and all its later day versions never ever beat the CPP in any fair elections in 1951, in 1956 and 1979. Of course the CPP was banned from the 1969 election by these so called "democrats". I am so sure they would have been beaten as well.

Kwesi Pratr could be right that the CIA was behind the coup, however I am old enough to say that what Nkrumah did to oppress Ghanaians was far worst than what Adom-Otchere wrote. As a politician Nkrumah was cruel, barbaric, timid and afraid of his own shadow. He thought everyone was after his life and position as life president. So he surrounded himself with sycophants, who were always singing praises in exalting him as Osagyefo. None of his ministers or executives were able to make opposing suggestions or told him the truth about what was really going on. So he was genuinely shock when he learnt of the continuous celebration by Ghanaians of his overthrow.
There was a total cloud of fear over the country at the time.
There was also absolute mistrust among people - because no one knew who would be reporting on them.
6year old children, Young Pioneers youth, party apalaches, etc were all reporting on their parents, relatives, acquintances to gain favour in the CPP, while those reported on at that time did not even know why they were arrested, most of the time violently and at night then put into jails without trial,if they were lucky otherwise brutally murdered and their assets ceased or stolen.
