The OSP did not address the main concern of Ghanaians. Was the Interpol application filed on political grounds? Did someone made an error during the application? In fact, if it is established that someone failed to follow the due process of the application, that person must be held to account. Ofori Atta is a big fish in the corruption investigation and if it is established that the government has made secret deals to let the criminals off the hook, Ghanaians will be very upset. The NDC must consider the next election lost. Curbing corruption is number priority for Ghanaians and letting criminals go without accountability is very serious indeed. The NDC must watch out.

If Ghana submits a formal extradition request, a U.S. court can still approve extradition if the legal requirements (dual criminality, evidence, due process) are met. The final decision would then rest with the U.S. government.

all Ghana is seeking to do is arrest Ofori Atta in the name of Ghana because Ghana as a country must respect international laws that is why it is a signatory to the INTERPOL.
this case is not political , it is accountability for his actions and in-actions as a former minister of Ghana.
I don't want to believe that - INTERPOL WANT TO TELL us that Ghana court is not competent enough and ground for Ofori Atta to defend his actions as a former Minister .
1. Ofori Atta is a Ghanaian, he is not an American or he did not hold any nationality passport apart from Ghana. Ghana is no more under military ruler or dictator.
2. The duty of Interpol is to cause arrest and hand the suspect to the signatory country who has put that request. it is not the duty of INTERPOL TO prosecute the substantive matter in question.
if the Interpol has arrested him and notify Ghana , I don't think deportation order request would have come to play.
INTERPOL has failed Ghana and we must tell them in their sorry faces.

2. I am of a solide view that these international organisation are not serving any African country interest hence want Ghana to withdraw from it participation.
