Another wasteful project. These funds could have gone into more meaningful projects. Persons wishing to travel to Mecca for their pilgrimage can meet at the airport at designated times to board their flights. Just another misplaced priority. The only way to end this wasteful spending is for foreign donors to stop pouring cola into the calabash of the Ghana government, for that will cause government leaders to think wisely as they move to spend the country's scarce money on projects. Unfortunately, Ghana politicians have a love of pandering to religious groups. It's perfectly fine to support religious groups with projects that make sense financially to the government, but the government's spending on a pilgrimage project makes no sense. If it's not a wasteful national cathedral project, it's a hajj village project. So what's next? A building of those Akufo-Addo village harbours?
