(1) URADEP (Upper Region Agricultural Development Project)? A project, initiated and implemented by Gen. Kutu Acheampong around 1975. It spread across the Upper Regions and the then Northern Region, with farms in places like, Tono near Navrongo, Vea near Bolgatanga, Pwulugu, Fumbisi, Wulugu, Nasia, Bontanga, etc,; and

(2) Tomato Factories at Pwulugu, Wenchi (Tomacan) and Nsawam (GIHOC Cannery)? Started in 1960s by Kwame Nkrumah.
