Others may not be able to deal.with those scars. I would really advice her to seek counselling preferably from another person she is comfortable with or a person in her shoes she can identify with. Psychological trauma is very difficult to understand because it's not visible and often humans tend to ignore that but it's the worse form of trauma. I'm even sure this woman has been raped by her own family.members before.

You see, my.friends mother was abused as a child and she was abandon by her father..she was working the streets..she later gave birth and abandoned her kids..we found out last year that my.friends mother was bothered by her father abuse and abandonment all those years in Ghana she normalized it and that's why she also abandoned her children..to her it was normal..so you see it's important to speak and relearn you old habits because what you thought was okay in 1957 isndefinarly.not a.good.look today..if you have children you must take care of them and not abandon them.

Did the radio station check her story with the UK police or with family and friends... or can any one come on air and tell a story without the journalist doing background checks to ascertain the validity of the accusations...which are serious and pitiful.
This all played out where... in Ghana or in the UK. In the UK..even back then..social services would have been on this case like fire to coal. School would have reported it too. the audience has not received the full and complete interview therefore we have a fragment of the full truth...I hope she can get some sort of mental help. I just had the initial feeling that this was a cry for attention
The radio stations must be careful about airing these interviews especially if there seems to be some mental complications involved as the lady clearly stated she is experiencing. Please try to air verifiable stories....otherwise.. you allow the audience to insult her...rightly or wrongly... as seen in some of the comments. This doesn't help her the plight
