Why should a doctor leave a patient whose condition is critical to go to the pharmacy for medicine? From the information I have gathered at the hospital through one of the management members, Doctor was a locum Doctor. He has since been posted to the Sekyere Afram Plains Hospital. He has refused to go and still working at Sekyere Kumawu Hospital. The Doctor has caused trouble to the extent that the Clinical Coordinator of the Hospital has resigned his position. According to my source, the Doctor collects medicine at the pharmacy and sell to the patients. This led to the Pharmacist given instructions that, the Doctor should not be allowed to collect medicines. If a patient is not insured, it's the responsibility of the patient or his/her relatives to get the medicine but not the Doctor. It's unfortunate that the Pharmacist touched the Doctor but the investigation should be broadened to include why the Doctor has refused posting to Sekyere Afram Plains Hospital at Drobonso and also why he is always at the pharmacy collecting medicine for patients.
