My then girlfriend had gone to Kumasi and she was supposed to spend the night at mine, however she delayed and was meant to arrive around 12am. Hence, I told her that I will drive to the police station and wait for her there, so he should not alight at my junction which is dark and isolated. When I got there I went to ask permission from the officer if I could park there and he said it wasn’t a problem. While I was there, I saw two gentleman speaking with the officer. I left and sat in car. I waited in the car for about 45 minutes until my girlfriend told me that she has arrived. Though I asked her to stop at the police station she still got off at my junction. When I was about to leave, I went to the police station to notify the officer that I was leaving and thank him. That was when I saw Richard in his jeans with no shirt on, sitting behind the counter. His mom was crying and kept mentioning his name “Ah Richard ah Richard”. After I thanked the police officer, Richard was ordered by the officer to take his jeans off. It was at this moment that i locked eyes with Richard. He looked annoyed and had a frown on his face. So I left and went for my lady. When I picked her up, I told her about what I have just witnessed and told her that it may be Richard has been arrested for smoking or fighting. I really felt sorry for his mom, because in my mind, I feel that poor woman should be sleeping and not crying. It was in the morning that I heard that someone had murdered two kids. That is when it clicked and said to myself that it must be the guy I saw at the police station. Anyway, when I heard it, I was pissed off and told my girlfriend that if I have known what he has done, I would have asked for permission from the police officer to give that guy a slap. Fast forward five years later, I still don’t know why my path crossed with that Guy.
