Mr. President,
We remind you once again that before you came to power, many Ghanaians were heartbroken and frustrated. The nation was crying out for justice, accountability, and an end to corruption.
Many people supported you because you are an experienced leader. We believed you would take bold action against corruption, especially involving former NPP officials.
Today, many Ghanaians are asking questions.
Why are individuals such as Cecilia Dapaah and other former ministers walking freely despite serious corruption allegations?
Why is former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and his associates not being held accountable?
Why is former Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia seeking power again while many citizens feel no proper accountability has taken place?
Mr. President, Ghanaians expected action. Even if you did nothing else, many would appreciate strong and fair action against corruption.
We are also concerned about the role of the Attorney General in ensuring justice. The office of the Attorney General is meant to protect the law and defend the constitution — not to shield corruption. When leaders at the highest levels are not held accountable, it weakens the foundation of our democracy.
Mr. President, corruption is destroying trust in both the NDC and NPP. Many citizens now believe the two major parties are becoming the same in practice. If nothing changes, public confidence in both parties may completely disappear.
We urge you:
Take bold, lawful, and transparent action.
Let justice be done — fairly, without political bias.
Show Ghanaians that leadership means accountability.
The future of our democracy depends on it.
