THE REGIONAL WAR HAS JUST COMMENCED AND WILL LAST FOR LONGER THAN ANYBODY EXPECTED.
TRAVEL OUT OF THE REGION WILL BECOME DIFFICULT AND SO WILL ANY ATTEMPT TO TRANSFER MONEY OUT.
The warning signs were all there and some of us repeatedly warned about this on Ghanaweb comments section.
We'll see a level of destruction on both sides of the conflict never before witnessed. Expect possible mass emigration out of the region as regional economies collapse. Global stock markets will reopen on Monday sharply lower, the price of oil will soar and so will that of traditional safe haven assets such as gold ( after an initial short-lived fall).
Attacking Iran was never going to be an easy task.because they have a large stockpile of missiles and drones which can overwhelm the defences of even the most sophisticated nation. More importantly Iran has the backing of two military superpowers, Russia and China who will no doubt be feeding them critical real time data.
It is hard to see how this conflict will not rapidly spread. Expect severe losses on all side.
PRAY THAT THIS DOES NOT EVOLVE INTO A THIRD WORLD WAR WITH THE USE OF NUCLEAR WEAPONS.
