Danquasele Danquah suggested for a newly independent Ghana was Akanland. That tells you how primitive and tribalistic he was. As at 1944, the plebiscite that made the Volta region and by extension the Volta river part of Ghana had not taken place. So on what basis would he have suggested that Ghana is named after a part of Togoland, a foreign country? Next blatant lie please!

So please it was Dr Danquah 's own Akyem Abuakwa that rejected him and did not send him to Parliament. In that election, the National Liberation Movement also obtained 12 seats only in Ashanti out of 104. The National Liberation Movement and its Allies also won 33 seats out of 104.Please there was no way 33 seats out of 104 would win an election for Dr Danquah to be a Prime Minister at lndependence. Please it was Dr Danquah 's own Akyem Abuakwa that rejected him and prevented him from being a leader of this nation. Please Voltaria or not is meaningless to us. It has been said that the name Ghana was recommended by him. Please be that as be made, Dr Danquah was not in Parliament to second or support the motion for the adoption of the name Ghana when Nkrumah moved it in Parliament. That so called big six was a fiction created to make some people important in our history. All the 5 people including JB Danquah who were arrested together with Osagyefo denied any knowledge of the uprising to secure their freedom and shifted all the blame on Dr Nkrumah. If there is a big six at all, it should be the people who were on the dais during the proclamation of Ghana’s independence and not those traitors who asked the Queen of England not to grant Ghana independence
