When the wealth quietly leaves the soil, it’s called investment. But the moment Ghana says ‘let’s review the terms’, it becomes a global issue.

Maybe the real pressure isn’t about policy… it’s about who has been benefiting the most from Ghana’s gold all along.

Mind games by the Ndc government,this news originated from a journalist working with the graphic,a government newspaper,that's how come he had that info,he just posted this to the Reuters.This is an excuse to reduce the royalty that parliament signed to prevent any issues with the mining companies.They would simply say yes parliament has signed this to law but we cant implement it because of this news,always remember to strongly fear the black man when it comes to money.Ghana is not the only country to increase royalties,neither is it the only one to face backlash for doing so.

Its time we benefitted from our gold too. These Investors are not compelled to invest in extracting our gold, they can move on, if the terms don't suit them.

If can't cope, leave. Fortunately, Ghana now has both capacity and know how to mine our minerals, except oil. Aren't you guys ashamed of how you loot African countries? Ghana is resetting, and this is part of it. Infact, the scale should have been 50-80%
