In my candidate opinion, the Police Administration erred to deploy the Black Marie, as an independent Police Special Unit in Tamale outside the control, supervision and direction of the Regional Police Command. This situation created a parallel authority of a sort, and thus brought about some indiscipline and insubordinate acts on the part of the personnel of Black Marie towards the Regional Police Command. Apart from that, the military in Tamale, also appeared to have some problems with the Black Marie, because of their rudeness, especially, how they often disregarded the bounds of military installations and barracks with impunity. So, I think that their withdrawal is apt, especially this very group. A new set of group can be sent there , but they should not operate outside the control, direction and instructions of the Regional Police Command.
