What is your understanding of a 24-hour economy? Do you know of any country, inclusive of civilized undustrialized nations, where each business entity operates 24/7?

A 24-hour economy does not assign business ownership and operations to government; private businesses continue to operate and make business decisions that maximises profits even with looming completion deadlines.

The problem we have in Ghana is one of misinformation, lack of comprehension of what we read but more often than not a haste to assign blame when issues are of political nature. Should common sense not tell vehicles plying the motorway that there are bound to be traffic congestion and delays because of road construction?

For those thinking some of the work should be done at night I ask you this: would there have been adequate electricity production and distribution in Ghana for businesses to operate 24/7 if HE John Mahama had taken the lazy and ignorant decision ex-president John Kufour took and also sent church leaders and Aglow members out to pray and not return home until Ghana has had adequate and sustainable electric power generation and distribution?

So the ignorant masses who are asking to see what's up with the NDC's 24-hour economy, I say crawl before walking. The country has to have needed infrastructure in place and in abundance/sustainable to ensure success of the 24-hour economy. Unlike the haste the NPP sprung the free SHS scheme upon government and got the country in economic mess and debt to our eyeballs there are still sensible people in Ghana willing and capable of making the right decisions irrespective of knee jerk reasons that drive the NPP and its policies.
