Our churches, clubs and communities spend in excess of this amount on their anniversaries. We need to cut our coat according to our size. This does not mean we must go naked.

Contracts were given to NPP idols who went to China with government of Ghana sovereign guarantees to order miniature flags, bandanas, mufflers etc. These thieves and millions of dollars in profit for themselves and their godfathers.The poor Ghanaian was the looser. Government officials and political appointees siphoned huge amounts of money meant for the independence day celebrations into their fat bank accounts, while they parade poor, hungry school children and members of our security forces onto the scorching sun for hours. Ambulances were lined up to convey collapsing students and security personnel to poorly equipped hospitals and clinics. Those sad days are gone. Bravo to JDM.
