Happens all the time in both public and private business sectors. I know of at least 4 businesses set up in Ghana by Ghanaians living and working abroad who naively believed that they could get relatives back home to help them run a profitable business that would also benefit family members. These well- meaning Ghanaians only ended up being fleeced and taken advantage of by family members or friends. In all 4 cases the businesses quickly became unprofitable and unsustainable. The loss of their hard earned money left these Ghanaians distressed and very bitter when they discovered what their relatives back in Ghana were doing to them.
DON'T TRY AND RUN A BUSINESS IN GHANA WHILE LIVING ABROAD. PROBABLY 90%+ WILL FAIL

These politicians appoint themselves as CEOs and board members, some with limited or zero experience. In a few years they run these enterprises aground, leaving them with huge debts. Just look at Cocobod, the level of indebtness is insane and shear wickedness. If it was your own business will you take such reckless decisions? In China, these politicians and their familieis will not have a second to live, Unfortunately, we live in a country where thieves are glorified and people with questionnable wealth are worshipped.
