The govt has to put measures in place at the borders to prevent smuggling from Ivory Coast. Ghana is paying 130% of world cocoa price to farmers. With Ivory Coast producer price so low, Ghana stands to lose big time if it buys their smuggled Cocoa. This is called being proactive to prevent further losses.

Govt has to man the boarders first so Cote Diviore does not come to sell in Ghana. Ghana is currently paying 130% of world Cocoa price. If Ghana buys all these cocoa, imagine how much Ghana will lose.

Where were you when Mahama and NDC used $10billion to appraise the cedi and what sense does it make if you really understand simple economics. Some of you argue just for argument's sake without factoring the plight of the farmers.
