Trump used a lie as a pretext for attacking Iran, in the same way that President Bush used a lie about non-existent weapons of mass destruction to attack Iraq. Military might should be used to help secure peace around the globe, but not to be used to help Israel, a nation that possesses nuclear weapons, to attack another country because Israel is strongly opposed to that country having nuclear capability. THE WORST IS YET AHEAD. THOSE WHO INSIST ON REMAINING THERE MAY NOT MAKE IT OUT ALIVE. The oil and gas fields have started to burn which means that the life blood of these nations are bleeding out and in some cases may permanently wreck their economies.
Far more dangerous is the fact that a majority of these countries with the exception of Iran depend on DESALINATION PLANTS for almost all their water needs. If these desalination plants get destroyed by missile attacks ( this has now started and will very likely worsen) then the population of the countries affected will have two stark choices- EMIGRATE TO COUNTRIES OUTSIDE THE REGION OR REMAIN AND DIE OF THIRST AND HUNGER. MOST COUNTRIES IN THIS MIDDLE EASTERN / PERSIAN GULF REGION ARE SIMILARLY CRITICALLY DEPENDENT ON FOOD IMPORTS, SO IF FREIGHT SHIPPING CONTINUES TO REMAIN DISRUPTED THEN MASSIVE FOOD SHORTAGES WILL QUICKLY FOLLOW.
ALL SIGNS ARE THAT THE WORST IS YET AHEAD.
All this will have a terrible effect on energy and fuel prices worldwide including Ghana. The prudent will do what they did just before the COVID,-19 lockdown occurred. We are not trying to frighten anyone rather we are simply reminding people of what is likely round the corner from the economic point of view.
