Ghana don’t even have a functioning G4 services, but they managed to scam their gullible followers by launching a service that has no bearing. The SIM card in its current form is susceptible to fraud and must be re-registered. NPP members can leave the country if they don’t want the change.

If there is any doubt to what HE John Mahama, the president of the good, bad and ugliness of Ghana, says then you should at least remember that a good National ID system using biometric features of registrants could not have given Rev Kusi Boateng 2 ID cards with different date of birth and information on parents while using/ checking against same biometric features.

When the former communications minister Ursula Owusu was having issues with the NIA boss it was because both NPP operatives were looking at maximizing ways to enrich themselves personally and the NPP party at large while not exposing themselves for future prosecution.

The one theme running through operatives of the erstwhile Akufo-Addo government, should in case you need to be reminded, is that a good number of them have skipped Ghana all together. They claimed they built a nation that has its streets flowing with milk and honey.

Wherever I’ve been with my Ghana Card it has served the right purposes. My card number and fingerprints were totally in sync. I went to MTN office in Osu and East Legon to retrieve my numbers and it all checked out. Even checking the details using your Ghana Card number and short code also works perfectly well. If NDC want to raise money from already suffering Ghanaians let them tell us. Period. We don’t want ANANSE STORIES AND FAMILY HOUSE ISSUES. YABR3 PAAAAAAA. They will send you the link and code. Just reenter your Ghana card details and you are done. If you don't have the ghanacard details it means the sim is not in your name. It's that simple

Sam George and others campaigned strenuously for a boycott - the same way they campaigned against registration for the Ghanacard earlier. Fortunately, most Ghanaians ignored the NDC propaganda and registered their SIM cards. This new re-registration, which Sam George is promoting, is a waste of money. It seems conceived to fulfill a campaign promise "to conduct a proper SIM card re-registration." Or worse, it mighht be a mere loot and share scheme.

How we do it in Europe is simple: you don't even need a phone to register a sim card: you need only your ID card.

If registration is online, they'll capture both sides of the ID card (with any IP-capable camera).

If registration is at the office, you simply give them the ID card for them to capture. In which phone you use the SIM is irrelevant to them. What's relevant are your details: full name, dob, address, ID card number, all of which are on the ID card.

This is logical because a sim card is not attached to any particular phone. I can have X phones with only one SIM card.
