Asante Twi is just one of those languages. .That said, whereas every Asante is an Akan or every Akyem is an Akan, not every Akan is an Asante or Akyem. Over 45 % of the people in the Ivory Coast are Akans, . They were Akans by tribe long before France and Britain divded us.So, I really get angry when I see ignorant farts such as Nana talking about Akans from his myopic view .. When Mr Siaw opened his Tata Brewer and started selling "Bubra" and not paying taxes, he did not give me any discount whenever I bought a pint of beer because I was an Akan.

I can vividly recall getting up early to go the "Apino Soap" factory in Kumasi with my mates just to get some for Sec School.
