You need water and plenty of it to grow tomatoes....The tomato itself is all water so there's your answer .Fix your irrigation system,then you might get somewhere....When you consider the theft, corruption, embezzlement and downright stealing from the State of hundreds of billions GHC by lowlife people,that were in place to protect the Countries Coffers.....you could have trapped the excess water from Burkina Faso. By opening up a huge dam and disperse water ,to farmers to grow tomatoes.. But you see,when the criminal element is forever lurking around to screw someone,then it's a lost opportunity...and no one has to go to Burkino Faso to get shot and burnt alive just doing their job.

It’s so baffling why we should be buying tomatoes from Burkina, and onions from Niger. There are many areas in Ghana where these crops can be grown and distributed so readily. The Hweehwee areas near Nkawkaw is so rich in nutrients that tomatoes can easily be produced and promoted there. The northern regions of Ghana have the same soil nutrients as Niger. Why do we have to risk the lives of our citizens in order to promote the economies of those arid countries? Let’s set our priorities right once and for all.
