The issue we have faced in civil or public service over multiple decades here in Ghana can be summed up as lack of foresight, management constraint and lack of planning.

In the private sector, good management use of a process often implemented through methods like mentoring, shadowing, succession planning, and cross-training to prevent "brain drain" and ensure continuity is legendary. Employees under those training schemes are sonetimes compensated because not all the candidates can be assured of the top post when the person near retirement do retire.

HE John Mahama may have promised but does not have override authority and the potential catastrophy that may come with replacing management personnel who have reached tge mandatory retirement age if there are no up and coming employees well stewed in requisite wherewithal to take up the mantle.

We have a system without flexbility and corrupt political parties who continue to hire beyond governments ability to meet expenditures. There is a lot of free-loaders in civil and service who are causing low productivity but who have jobs because of politics.

Earlier I have said that president Mahama has disappointed me he doesn't pick his calls and he doesn't acknowledge receipt of letters written to him so he doesn't care anymore. If I see the youth who are jobless today it breaks my heart that Asiedu nketiah can talk anyhow against the youth and still be roaming about freely because he has secured appointments for his children so can talk anyhow and do whatever to anyone in this country. I want to assure everyone that anger is a real thing and when starts boiling up it shall only quench if it is fed with either peace of satisfaction or attack of satisfaction.

It’s not only CEO’s of these Institutions that have blatantly ignored this presidential directive on post retirement contract. Please check with the Public Universities and CSIR Institutes it is worse., Scientists and Lecturers over 70 years at posts occupying offices and drawing their allowances and benefits.
They interfere with management and block the chances for younger generations. This shameful practices must stop for the nation to progress.
