  Clearly you do not understand the differences between recapitalisation (happening now and insolvency and severely diminished capital adequacy. Currently no customer deposits have been impacted. Just a mandate to recapitalise in order to do bigger ticket commercial deals in life with economic demands. In Addison's case the banks did not have the moneys, had copped customers deposits, had recieved funds from BoG to support their work and they even chopped those funds. Pure criminal behaviour especially when they used the bailout fund from the BoG for the Directors' personal projects. Don't just talk ignorantly. If those banks had collapsed the whole financial industry in Ghana wuld have been brought down with the subsequent run on other stronger banks (hopefully you know what a run on banks is and how it starts)

  It's a shame that most of the financial institutions which had their licences revoked by NPP are still struggling to stand on their feet. Ghanaians are being careful to make investments. Keep money at home is better. Even those who still have their licences cannot do business because the monies are kept at home rather than the banks. Once beaten twice shy.
