The European Union security architecture is part of that of NATO and the West in general. This agreement is not in the interest of Ghana and it undermines Ghana's neutrality as a non-aligned nation. When Kwame Nkrumah proposed the establishment of an African High Command to deal with Africa's security problems he was criticised and the idea shelved. Now weak and poor african countries are unable to solve their security problems. These militant jihadist movements tormenting African countries are offshoots of Al-Qaeda and Isis and these were sponsored,
armed and financed by western countries.
