Nana and Bawumia did their best, but Ghanaians prefer to see such awful situations like people lying on the floor at Korle Bu etc. If the 111 district hospitals were completed, most people will seek medical help closer at home then easing the pressure on the premier hospitals in the nation.

Ei, it's so sad how some animals in human skin make contributions to national issues by bringing in tribalism and politics. Even if successive governments provide each hospital with a million beds, the no-bed syndrome will persist if doctors don't change their attitude. Must doctors admit everyone who comes to the hospital? They keep sending patients to the wards even if those patients with minor cases can be treated and allowed to go home. In advanced countries, it's only patients with severe cases who are admitted. Government should talk to the doctors about this issue.

I feel sad when I hear the way our leaders are talking about this 'no bed syndrome' as if they became aware of it only yesterday. This no bed syndrome started decades ago but they make it look like it has started. Covid-19 exposed the country how the country wasn't prepared for any health disaster(s). It's for this reason that previous gov't started the agenda 111 projects across the country. Where are they now? They are left untouched by this gov't because they didn't conceive it and until npp gov't comes to power, ndc gov't will only pay a lip service to the projects and yet will complain of no bed syndrome. The most painful and difficult thing to do in a hospital is nursing patients in the floor and who cares about the health of nurses and midwives and other frontline health workers? When the executives are sick straight to abroad and they don't go alone, they go with entourage at the expense of tax payers money. Even if beds are brought, no spaces for the beds, so more health facilities are needed and it's incumbent on the gov't to bring the contractors back to complete the hospitals. Kasa tenten nt) ponk).
