Ghana has a population of 33 million, and we are just pathetic. So, if we are facing a problem, why can't we deal decisively with it than just hold press conferences and let the problem fester.

Nana Addo contributed greatly to this mess when he brought in LI 2462 allowing mining in forest reserves. He also presided over the explosion in mining licenses to family, friends and party members. He was effectively the godfather of galamsey. A truly dark, disappointing and regrettable chapter in Ghana’s history. We pray that the cancer of galamsey will be cured.
