Naa Torshie and her daughter Samantha Addo
For many parents, if there is the chance, the dream is to see their children follow in their career paths, and that is exactly what Samantha Addo, daughter of Irene Naa Torshie Addo, has achieved.
The dutiful daughter was called to the Bar in London on March 24, 2026, marking a remarkable milestone that coincidentally comes 30 years after her mother was also called to the Ghana Bar.

Samantha’s journey to the legal profession has been impressive, according to many accounts.
She attended Cats Canterbury for her sixth form education before proceeding to the University of Birmingham, where she studied law.
She also had her basic education at the renowned Ghana International School (GIS).
She then completed the Bar Professional Training Course and was called into Gray’s Inn.
Her mother, Irene Naa Torshie Addo, who once served as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, and is the immediate past former Administrator of the District Assembly Common Fund, has long been a source of inspiration to Samantha.
By following in her footsteps, Samantha does not only honor her mother’s legacy but also establishes her own mark in the legal profession internationally.
