You can only request for reparations after the wrongdoing is officially accepted in a resolution and subsequent vote. Akuffo Addo only mentioned this as part of his speech. Mahama tabled a motion , went to defend the motion and got the official resolution through a vote by all countries.

We are more educated than you. Some of us here on this platform can humbly state that we are not as short sighted and myopic as not to know where UN deliberations are concerned. Presenting an important issue in a speech in a platform like United Nations are as crucial and critical and most meaningful than tabling a motion and being voted upon. In any case a motion cannot be tabled and voted upon without the issue coming to the fore as initiated by President Akuffo Addo. The one who initiated the issue if anything at all should be the one to acclaimed as the champion of the cause. The finality of all this is to the betterment of Africa as a whole but not a single person as Okujeto and illiterate foot soldiers on this platform would like to portray.
