Captain Frank Donkor (L) and Elijah Donkor (R) died in a helicopter crash
Founder and leader of the Hebron Prayer Camp, Elder Frank Donkor, has recounted his final interactions with his sons prior to the tragic micro-plane crash in Tema Community One.
Speaking on the devastating loss, the bereaved father detailed the events leading up to the flight that claimed their lives.
Speaking to his congregation in a video sighted by GhanaWeb on Friday, March 27, 2026, Elder Donkor stated that his eldest son, Captain Frank Donkor, was a pilot instructor who frequently travelled to Ho by helicopter.

According to him, on the fateful day of the crash, his sons [Frank and Elijah] had travelled to Ho as usual, where the eldest had gone to sign a multi-million-dollar contract with some foreign partners to build a pilot and engineering school.
“The eldest son was a pilot instructor. They had travelled to Ho because he had collaborated with some foreign companies to build a pilot and engineering school which would have benefitted a lot of people.
“He normally travels to Ho all the time with a plane and that fateful day, he had gone there to sign a multimillion-dollar contract,” he recounted.
The man of God proceeded to recall that he was in constant communication with his two sons, even though he was out of the country at the time.
“I was abroad at the time and so we were communicating frequently about all what was happening with his engagements,” he recalled.
Elder Donkor stated that his son, after their engagements in Ho, called him to share their location with him, and told him they would arrive in Accra in five minutes, as they were already in Tema.
He added that he even spoke with them through a video call, including his youngest son, who was asleep at the time in the aircraft but had to be woken up to speak to him.
“They called me informing me that they would arrive in Accra in about 5 minutes since they were already in Tema. He showed me his younger brother Elijah who was asleep at the time of the video call so he had to wake him up to talk to me,” he shared.
Elder Donkor concluded by stating that he attempted to call his sons after the five minutes as they had indicated, but was unable to reach them, unaware that they had been involved in a tragic crash.
“They told me they will speak to me once they land on ground. I called them back after the 5 minutes but I couldn’t reach them. I give glory to God in all things,” he said.
Meanwhile, burial of the two victims, Frank Donkor and Elijah Donkor will take place on March 28, 2026, at the Jubilee House.
