Interestingly, most of Africa's rich initially make their wealth either from Political contracts that mostly overcharge the state and are borne by taxes from ordinary people, or make their wealth from overcharging the poor through high interest rates and high prices of indispensable goods and services

It is a shame. The continent will continue to suffer from poverty until the business and political class learn to invest in the continent

By poor governance they let suffering jobless African youth paying to become slaves in the Western developed countries.
If they really care they would have developed policies that will make Africans get what they need in Africa.
Nobody is talking about the present indirect slave trading orchestrated by bad governance of African leader. It is the same thing the chiefs of Africa did in the past. They are not even talking about that, but what the white man did. It take two to tango they say!
