Following the solemn state burial organised for the two men who tragically lost their lives in a helicopter crash at Tema Community One on Monday, March 16, 2026, new details have emerged.
In a video shared on X and sighted by GhanaWeb, the family of the late Captain Frank Donkor, one of the victims of the microlight aircraft crash, was seen performing customary rites to dissolve his marriage with his surviving spouse.
In the less-than-one-minute footage, the family is heard explaining that although the marriage has been formally dissolved, the widow will not be rejected.

According to them, they still consider her a daughter and a member of the family, and they will continue to support and care for her.
“In the name of God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, we hereby dissolve the marriage between you and Frank… As of today, the marriage between you and Frank has been dissolved. This does not mean you are no longer a member of the family.
“You are still our child. So, even though you have removed the ring, you will continue to stay with us in this house, and we will take care of you. No one should think we will reject her,” an elder said.
