  During the time of Rawlings, one Military man who carried out so many atrocities at Accra Circle, Tema Station in Accra and Koforidua township was called Nkwantabisa but he was not an Akan but a Northerner. There are many Anlo Ewes who were with Rawlings’ regimes and committed serious crimes and atrocities but have changed their names for Ga Adangbe and Akan names. Unfortunately for them, the moment they start to speak English, Ga, or Akan, they are immediately seen as Anlo Ewe. A few of them who grew up in Ga and Akan areas can easily pass as non Anlo Ewe too.
  Not all Moslems are bad, wicked and evil. I have had some Moslem friends who are from the Northern parts of Ghana that are very honest and can be trusted so let us not make such hasty generalizations. Do you know that you can meet some Akans, Ga, Ewe, and people from the various ethnic groups that can be bad and dangerous? That is the truth.

  Please, an Islamic name doesn’t make one a Muslim. It may not even rightly show the ethnicity of an individual. Many on this forum may not know the the Ghanaian famous Akan musician called Kofi Sammy is not an Akan but a Ewe. He grew up in the Zongo community of Asokore Koforidua and fluently speaks Asante Twi, Dagbani, Hausa and Ewe. I personally know him. He can easily pass everywhere as an Asante man.
  Let us take Rawlings for an example. He is a Ewe but speaks more Ga than his own Traditional Ewe language. I speak and write Asante Twi but I am not a true Asante or Akyem.
