'I sold everything for her' - Homeless Ghanaian man speaks after wife left him abroad

A Ghanaian man believed to be living on the streets of Hamburg, Germany, has sparked conversation online after sharing his personal ordeal and offering cautionary advice to a young man about relationships.

In a video shared on X and sighted by GhanaWeb, the man recounted how his life took a downturn following the collapse of his marriage, which he said cost him everything he had worked for.

Narrating his experience, he expressed deep regret and warned young men to be careful in dealing with women, suggesting that his own experience had left him emotionally and financially broken.

“Women are bad. They will disgrace you and at the same time bring you down,” he said.

The man went on to explain that he had made significant sacrifices for his former wife, including selling off his properties to support her relocation abroad.

Recounting the extent of his investment in the relationship, he disclosed, “I paid 10,000 pounds, all my entire money, sold my house and brought my wife overseas, only for her to arrive and break up with me.”

According to him, the separation has continued to haunt him, leaving him in a state of sadness long after the divorce.

He further revealed that a recent encounter on social media reopened old wounds, as he unexpectedly came across his ex-wife online.

Sharing how the moment affected him, he said, “My wife and I are divorced, and up to date, I’m still sad. The other time I was on TikTok when I saw her, I was shocked.”

“I sold my house and brought my wife to Germany, only for her to arrive and break up with me.”
