Hello youth of Ghana......You can take your own life with medicine....for instance 15 paracetamol at once.... Or combine medicine and akpeteshie or weedicide.
Those were the days of bare feet and kwashiorkor. Sadly, lifespan was short and Aggrey himself did not live too long. Ghana has come a long way and we should be grateful to our forebears and God.
Dr. Aggrey did eventually return to the USA where he became a college Professor. A remarkable man he was.

These are primary school children and not secondary students. Achimota , at that time, had schools ranging from primary to secondary school level.
They were gifted children who just happened to be taking a break from their O Level exams.

Yes they're students. Those students were all in Lower Sixth Form, and they all entered university at the age of 11 years. They were collectively known as the bare-foot brigade. Two of the students were said to have flat feet ...

To me, this is a photo of Dr Aggrey and six primary school pupils, plus their matron. Certainly at their ages, those boys were not secondary school students. Did Achimota start as a secondary school or a primary school?

No. This picture was NOT taken "mid-20th century". Kwegyir Aggrey died in 1927.
