I don't get it! Is the LGBT bill not in parliament? The bill was laid again this year in January and it has actually been tabled currently for a second reading. Are these facts lost on all those making all manner of commentary in this matter? Has the bill reached the President and he has refused to sign it? The answer is a big NO! If we all take our time and learn where all this is coming from. The Prez was supposed to be honored with a PHD in the US. It was later opposed by a group with allegations of Mahama's stance on the LGBT issue. The Prez explained the current position on the issue in relation with our constitution, the issue being a private members bill in parliament and not a government agenda. Is that not a fact? He went on to explain that the topic is currently not one of the priorities on government's list. Did the Prez mention that he was not going to append his signature on the bill and make it a law? NO! Let's all be a little patient.
