If the woman is given an equal share of the property, women in Ghana should wave goodbye to marriage just like it is happening in the Western world.

The latest statistic in the US is that divorce rates have reduced and the media wanted to paint that narrative because of their own gain and to serve those who created the adverse situation - the gender preachers.

What pertained was that men were just not marrying which would have resulted in divorce anyway and that was causing the overall reduction in the numbers divorcing.

The reasons why men are shying away from marriage is how the courts treated men during marriage. The courts automatically looked after the welfare of the woman to the extent that these courts even shared the mans property to the step children who were adults. This is generalisation but such things formed the basis under which the family courts operated. Always finding a way to please the woman in divorce.

In Europe, there have been case where the woman took half of the mans property including part of his farm he inherited, abandoned their children and moved to Australia where she went into a relationship with w younger guy and blew all the money till she became a pauper.

She moved back to the UK and took the man to court that her lifestyle has dropped so she wanted part of the remaining assets awarded to the man on the provisions of equity.

The court agreed with her by giving her part of the assets the man was still building upon.

These are most of the reasons why young men in the Western world are not marrying. Its a headache.

We import this to Ghana, consider marriage finished.

It is good that these stories are coming out. In the Western world, the media is fighting hard to suppress them but the internet is playing a good role in bringing it into the public domain.

WHY THE PHRASE “TO DISCOURAGE DIVORCE”. Judging from the show of affluence by Richard Quaye the award and the reasoning behind it is shameful. The man and his family should have settled this amicably and equitably. WHAT A LOUD SHAME. APPEAL IS THE BEST WAY FORWARD.

I want to know why the woman who filed for divorce instead of giving a share of what she acquired during the life of the marriage to her husband but rather the husband has to pay her for personal decision to leave the marriage? Simple example for clarity sake if you landlord ask you to vacate his room then he will refund the remainder of the rent and compensate you by giving you more time and cash for inconvenience. Technically the wife is supposed to rather pay her husband for leaving the marriage in the United kingdom Adele The Popstar musician had to pay her husband for filing for a divorce and her property she acquired was shared for the husband as compensation for leaving the marriage so in this case I think the appeals court should use the The Popstar Adele case as somewhat bases to order her to pay compensation to her husband when this is done in Ghana no woman will be willing to file for divorce again because there are naturally greedy they care about love and you're heart in fact now they say they don't do love and dating anymore so what do they do then?
